Course Overview
This comprehensive course explores the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of dizziness and vertigo. Students will learn to differentiate between various types of dizziness, understand the underlying pathophysiology, and develop clinical skills for patient assessment and treatment planning.

Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Define and differentiate between vertigo, presyncope, disequilibrium, and lightheadedness
- Describe the anatomy and physiology of the vestibular system and its role in balance
- Conduct a systematic clinical evaluation of patients presenting with dizziness or vertigo
- Recognize the clinical features of common vestibular disorders including BPPV, vestibular neuritis, and Meniere’s disease
- Identify central versus peripheral causes of vertigo and understand red flag symptoms
- Develop appropriate treatment plans including pharmacologic interventions, vestibular rehabilitation, and surgical options when indicated
- Understand the role of the multidisciplinary team in managing patients with chronic dizziness
